Catholic Charities of California is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization of the 12 diocesan Catholic Charities in the State of California. The state organization facilitates joint service development, marketing, public policy advocacy and promotes mutual support among local Catholic Charities organizations.

Catholic Charities of California is guided by the gospel values of justice and compassion. Catholic Charities of California and its member agencies are committed to promoting solutions at state and local levels that reduce poverty and human suffering. We are a mutually supportive network that looks beyond geographic and categorical boundaries to support each other's efforts to build a just and compassionate society.

The board for CC/California is composed of members of the 12 diocesan organizations, two bishops, and the executive director of the California Catholic Conference. The state organization is administered by an executive director, contributed staff from member agencies on a project basis, and office support from the California Catholic Conference.

Catholic Charities of California is supported through financial contributions from the member agencies, foundation
grants, and in-kind support from the California Catholic Conference.

- Public Policy AdvocacyTrack and influence social policy, based on needs identified through our local needs and supported by Catholic social teaching.
- Communications & Resource DevelopmentEstablish a proactive approach to identifying and assessing potential resources, and promoting Catholic Charities on the state level.
- Convening and TrainingOrganize conferences and training resources to assist local leadership formation, networking and best practices.
